Bringing together residents, holidaymakers, apartment owners, local authorities and local and national businesses to welcome the holiday season, to have fun, to celebrate together, and to make a real difference to the lives of local children with disabilities and women facing the challenge of breast cancer.
The Bansko Winter Ball is a not-for-profit event created to bring our communities together, to make a difference to the lives of women with Breast Cancer and also to local disadvantaged children whose lives are enriched by the effort of a local charity to play, experience and enjoy activities that would normally be impossible or unavailable to them.
Come and join us for an evening of fine dining, music, dancing, and lots of raffle prizes to be won on the night.

Film Festival: 25th to 29th November: Bansko Film Fest will offer you the latest and most intriguing titles related to the mountaineering culture from all over the world. You will also have the chance to meet our official guests, who are truly among the great names in the world of extreme activities.

Bansko Bohemi Folk Festival: 26th & 27th June – Balkan festival “Bohemi” will take at the central square in Bansko. Some of the most popular Balkan entertainers will become part of the programme. The famous Serbian singer Željko Joksimović, the Macedonian pop star Karolina Gočeva and the musician Ivo Papasov-Ibriama are the headliners of the event who will entertain the audience with their stunning live performances.Not just the music there is also traditional Balkan gourmet food to satisfy your hunger. The festival is free and starts on Friday 26th at 18:30.
Summer Theatre Festival: 1st to 7th July – At the open-air stage Tear and Laughter, there will be plays by the Bulgarian Army Theater, Razgrad Drama Theater, Euro Dialogue Productions, Sofia Puppet Theater and VIVA ARTE Theater House.
The beginning of the festival is scheduled for July 1st at 19:00 with the play Yavorov, Lora and Mina in the Hour of Blue Fog. Tickets for the theatrical plays will be on sale at the Nikola Vaptsarov community center starting June 23rd.
Bansko Beat Music concert: 10th to 11th July – Bansko Beat” will bring together popular artists, indie rock groups and reggae bands.
“Bansko Beat” will unfold a musical world before the audience in which some will find new music, while others will have the pleasure of hearing favorite songs live.
The first performers to hit the stage of the fest are James Arthur , Mo ‘Kalamity & The Wizards and Shawn Lee Ping Pong Orchestra . Free event taking place in the main square
Summer Cinema Under The Stars :22nd to 25th July – Summer Cinemania under the stars was held for the fifth consecutive year in Bansko Municipality. The event will be held in the period 22 to 25 July this year.
The shows will be broadcast starting at 21.00 hours. The shows will be broadcast in the central square of the city, in rainy weather in the Great Hall of the Cultural Center “N. Vaptsarov “. Compositions of the Cultural Center “N. Vaptsarov “- Bansko will open the program on July 22, exactly 21.00 hours. From 21.30 hours the audience will be screened the movie “climbing trip in Argentina” (France, 2013, Vladimir Cellier, 22 ‘). On July 24 Friday, fans of extreme experiences in the mountains can watch “Mountaineers from Zakopane” (Poland, 2014, Jerzy Porembski, 60 ‘) starting at 21.00. At 22.00 hours begins “Sea2son” (Bulgaria, 2014, Rosen Spasov, 12 ‘). “Erebus, the delayed operation” (New Zealand, 2013, Charlotte Purdy, Peter Berger, 72’) will be screened at 22.00 hours.
At the last day July 25 Saturday, residents and guests of the resort can enjoy several iconic film. It starts at 21.00 hours “Cave” (USA, 2013, Marcin Gala, 45 ‘). At 21.45 hours begins “Penetration in Africa” (Spain, 2012, Horacio Lawrence, Thomas de Dorlodo, 28’). The latest projection is 22.13 hours “farther than the eye can see,” Michael Brown, USA, 74 ‘). The Road To Nowhere (MTB race): 24th to 26th July – The Road to Nowhere will be in it’s 7th year. We are aiming for a 60km XC course on day one and a 30km course on day two.
The same weekend we will be organising other events in Dobrinishte and around Bansko. Down Hill, Enduro, and trail running will all be in the mix.
Bansko Jazz Festival: 8th to 13th August the Jazz festival is now in its 18th Year and is more popular than ever this year from the 8th August to the 13th with people coming all over the world to
enjoy the music and relaxed atmosphere, this year we have head ling acts Mungo Jerry, jazz station and incognito plus host of other big names playing from the Main Square and Grand hotel Bansko
Opera Fest: 27th to 29th August: Bansko Opera Fest will start on 27 August with the famous ballet “Don Quixote” to the music of Ludwig Minkus and presented by the State Opera of Rousse.
On the next day of the festival the State Opera of Varna will present George Bizet’s popular opera “Carmen”. Svetoslav Borisov is the director of the play, which features the soloists Ilina Mihaylova, Deyan Vachkov and Daniela Dyakova.
In the third day, the State Opera of Rousse will present the opera “The Csárdás Princess” written by the Hungarian composer Emmerich Kálmán. Director of the play is Maestro Nayden Todorov and the soloists are Mario Nikolov, Maria Tsvetkova, Daniela Karaivanova, Stoyan Stoyandzhov and Iliya Devedzhiev.
