There is so much to do here in Bansko out of the winter season!

Within about an hour you can be sipping local wines from the world famous Melnik wine making town or heading to the Rila Monastery for something cultural and don’t forget we are only an hour from the Greek Border and 2 to the Greek coast
Within 10 minutes walk of the town centre you can even try your hand at trout fishing. A couple of pound for a rod and bait, a cold one (or two) from the restaurant and off you go and they will cook what you catch when you are ready.
Bansko is officially the number 1 winter resort for the Balkans offering challenging runs, off piste adventures and when you’re done on the slopes, there’s loads more to do in the old town and the brand new resort centre.
The winter seasons start mid December and runs through to mid April, making it a long season (around 120 days) with regular fresh snow downfalls.
On top of skiing and boarding, you can enjoy paragliding, snow-mobiles, skidoos, ice skating and snow trekking.
When it’s time to kick back and relax, within minutes of Bansko there are amazing natural hot springs, Hot water above bath temperature flows straight from deep down inside the earth straight to natural rock pools.

MUSIC FESTIVALS IN BANSKO 2016:
This year will see 3 major music events to be held in Bansko
26th & 27th June will see la Boheme a new and unique to our country festival. This inaugural music festival will have free admission and will offer Balkan popular singers, orchestras, various music groups, musicians, a cappella singers. The concept of “La Boheme” is a festival offering the charm of summer in Bansko by the foot of Pirin Mountain.
14th & 15th July Bansko Beat makes its 2ndt appearance in Bansko Bansko Beat will be a musical kaleidoscope bringing together popular artists, indie rock groups and reggae bands. .

8th – 13th August will see for the 18th year in succession the Bansko Jazz festival. Once again this event is one real crowd pleaser and attraction and 2015 will see no exception!
The International Jazz Festival in Bansko is the biggest summer musical event in Bulgaria. The enormous popularity which the festival enjoys among specialists and fans across the world has turned it into one of the foremost international cultural happenings in the Balkans.
